What an experience today in clinic!!

Both my patients for today were class II's. I was able to get my afternoon patient done, but not my morning patient. It is true that once you've warmed up from the morning session, you are able to be a little faster in the afternoon. I still need Class III patient requirements, a total of 3 more patients. I am getting nervous that I will not get this done:( I am glad that I purchased a gleason guide for sharpening it has helped me out tremendously:) Well I hope that I get all of my requirements done!

Practice makes perfect:)

I have started using the ultrasonic more, but I still feel that I am not coordinated with holding the suction and ultrasonic at the same time. Hopefully, in time I will be able to feel more comfortable with this. Today in clinic I felt a little more comfortable than I did last week. I am also practicing sharpening at home so that I will get better at this because this is important skill that I will need to know how to perform in everyday practice as a Hygienist.

Requirements!!!

I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed right now with requirements. The patients that I have had so far haven't been what I need which is class III's. So far I have only had 2quads of a class III. I hope that I will get some class 3 patients because we need a total of 16 quads and two exam requirements for a class 3. I also need to start working on passing off my PE's because I don't want to put them off to last minute.
